Abstract

In June 2020, several faculty and staff members in the School of Education and Human Services at a mid-sized university in the Midwestern United States began planning a new project called The Initiative for Eradicating Racism. This paper will define key terms used throughout the work, underscore the purpose and need for this initiative, describe the history that led to this initiative, and culminate with plans for moving from an initiative to a self-sustaining center in the future.
