To verify the process of examining measurement invariance within SEMtree, we demonstrate comparison among the non-constrained model, the factor loading constrained model, and the factor loading and intercept constrained model for all groups determined by SEMtree. The procedure is same way as in the traditional method in SEM. As a result, it was confirmed that a member of groups is not change for each analysis model, but the tree structure in the process of splitting is changed according to the constraints of parameters. These results do not provide a panacea to test measurement invariance within the SEMtree framework. However, the new approach would contribute to the discussion on testing the measurement invariance in the SEMtree framework.
