Abstract

This study presents a conceptual framework for educational leaders when addressing organizational change. Through an analysis of the forces of change at the community level educational organizations are better positioned to functionally enhance best practices. Two analytic models; stakeholder analysis and force-field analysis are applied to provide a valuable subfield perspective. Together, these models enhance transparency and support constructive engagement with the forces of change.

It is critically important today to constructively engage in and manage change as communities experience ongoing disrupting destructive behaviors and confront fermenting negative beliefs which now polarize many school community relationships. Through this framework, all stakeholders can move forward to a common ground advancing positive outcomes for student learning and curriculum reform.
