Racism and White supremacy continue to pervade institutions of higher education. Of concern, the silencing of Black experiences in higher education through non(intervention) and performative action maintains the exclusion of Black students, ensuring universities are harmonious with white supremacy (García Peña, 2022). However, discussing educational violence without Black life making, or the places of freedom that Black people create to practice resistance, is to discuss the educational system in a way that erases the full Black experience (Bishop, 2017). In response, the current study utilized photovoice to understand the intersectional experience of Black women* undergraduate students at predominantly white universities. Findings from this study respond to exclusion by highlighting the experiences of Black college students at predominantly white universities.
