"To Find This Place of Learning a Language": A Narrative Inquiry Study of Teachers of Diné Language and Culture

Abstract

This narrative inquiry research paper reflects on a successful teacher prepartion project for Diné language teachers and discusses future prospects for this work from the perspectives of two classroom teachers. The project supports the capacity of consortium partners within the Navajo Nation to transmit both cultural language identity and language skills through effective teaching and sustained family engagement.
