Abstract

Teachers play a critical role in developing their students’ knowledge and essential skills. To acquire the essential skills to understand and utilize artificial intelligence (AI) were extremely important for the future career development. Consequently, it is important to not only develop curricula around AI literacy, but also understand how teachers use and adapt AI literacy curricula to improve outcomes for their students. This study utilized a convergent mixed methods approach that examined the effectiveness of the curriculum to prepare teachers to use and adapt AI curriculum in inclusive classroom teaching and learning. Results suggested the importance of AI curriculum in shifting teachers’ self-perceived effectiveness, readiness, adaptation in using AI to support students with diverse learning needs.
