In this study, 183 college and senior high school students were surveyed regarding their graph-interpretation competence in scientific and daily contexts. In particular, the study examined whether age, gender and students' graph interpretations in scientific contexts might be significant predictors of the students’ graph interpretation competence in daily contexts. Moreover, the question of whether students' graph interpretations in scientific and daily contexts differed across educational levels was also investigated. The results showed that
age and graph interpretation in scientific literacy were found to be significant factors predicting students' graph interpretation in daily contexts. Furthermore, there were statistically significant differences across educational levels in terms of graph interpretation competence in both scientific and daily contexts. Implication was discussed.
