Abstract

This research aims to provide much needed insights into principals’ and vice-principals’ (VPs) psychological safety challenges amid intensified work conditions during the pandemic and elicit research evidence to build a psychologically safe and healthy work environment for school school administrators in British Columbia (BC), Canada and similar contexts. The data are from a large provincial online survey on school administrators in BC. Findings in this paper focus on principals' and VPs' psychological safety and shed light on how safe school administrators feel psychologically, to what extent and with whom they feel psychologically safe, and what strategies they employ to cope with psychologically unsafe situations.
