Abstract

In this paper, I show how student teachers within a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) graduate program narrated their journeys of becoming teachers by closely examining the stories they told about this process. By doing so, I show that student teachers draw on a complex range of ideas and experiences to describe their own motivations and to position themselves as (becoming) teachers.
