The first part of the study replicated the COTI, or Chicago On-Track Indicator, introduced by Allensworth and Easton (2007). The second part of this study intended to identify whether there was a difference between the graduation status of identified at-risk pull in (PI) and push out (PO) students in relationship to teacher experience in years. PI and PO students were of interest because they defied the COTI graduation or dropout predictions and did the opposite of what the data predicted. Additionally, the study sought to analyze the social networks of teachers and PI and PO students to examine their degrees of interactions as a visual representation of teacher-student relationships and the students’ resultant graduation status.
