Developing Instructional Leadership Teams in the Next Level of Work

Abstract

The proposed paper reports on a multi-year research-practice-partnership (RPP) with a California school district that serves a high-poverty community of color. In this paper we focus on five Instructional Leadership Teams (ILTs) to identify their next level of work via four areas of group development theory: basic self-organizing, seeing oneself as a leader, navigating complexity, and centering colleagues as learners.
