Abstract

Mathematics autobiographies of preservice elementary teachers are examined and compared with an administration of the Mathematics Teacher Efficacy Belief Instrument, in order to determine patterns between a preservice teacher’s relationship with mathematics and their efficacy in teaching mathematics. Implications for teacher education are also considered.
