Peers in Effect: A Review of the Literature on the Use of Social Network Analysis in Research on Undergraduate Student Life

Abstract

We systematically review literature that has applied social network analysis to the study of undergraduate education to identify the research questions, theoretical frameworks, and measures in use. Our review will result in a framework for investigating how institutions influence student relational structures and their impact on students’ learning and development.
