Abstract

In this open-ended presentation, audience members and I will explore the political possibilities of St. Pierre’s (1997) response data. Response data are created by folds between self and other (e.g., participants in studies, conference attendees, reviewers, and so on) that problematize interpretations and sure knowledge. After a brief introduction to response data and the theoretical framework guiding it, I will invite audience members to put together new possibilities with response data from my previous studies, post-theories, and audience members’ thoughts. The presentation aims to be an inviting, provocative, fragmented, and unfinished space of movement in which the audience members and I create iterations of the folding self-other relationships that materialize different politics, ethics, and questions.
