Given the variety of evidence and perspectives on domain versus specificity of creativity, a meta-analysis of cross-domain correlations could offer some clarity. The present study aimed to do that by focusing on domain-specific measures of creativity where performance on various creativity domains is measured simultaneously. Searching for data sources showed that K-DOCS is the most often studied domain-specific creativity scale. Analyses of 45 correlation matrices from 30 studies provided support for a general domain of creativity as well as a two-factor solution for Arts and Sciences factors. Moderator analyses with age and gender indicated that the Mechanical/Mathematical and Everyday subscales had a stronger factor loading in older participants than younger participants. The findings are discussed in terms of scholarly implications.
