Abstract

According to Fuentes et al. (2021) equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) have become a key issue for consideration in postsecondary education as a result of efforts by organizations such as the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U, 2009) which have been geared towards EDI integration. Unfortunately, many scholars seem to associate EDI in higher education environment with statistical appropriation of employed staff or admitted students as a representation of diversity in these institutions (Green, 2018). However, EDI cannot be approach in a vacuum, it requires the definition of terms and characterization of individual or institutional baseline to appreciate their current situation.
