Exploring languages that individuals in a community use provides better understanding of practices within the community. In this presentation, we report our investigation on written language in a Korean mathematics teacher community about a decade (2013-2022,) including the COVID-19 era, by analyzing text from journal articles. We explored terminologies that Korean mathematics teachers frequently used in written articles, comparing with the terminologies used in verbal communication, studied as a part of the International Classroom Lexicon Project. We also explored the trends of shifting terminologies across years, particularly through the COVID-19 era. This study sheds light on the change in pedagogical terms along with the different time period and on the values of mathematics teachers in mathematics teacher community in Korea.
