In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between school climate and student achievement. School climate is considered as a two-level structure at student and school level. The relationship between success and school climate was examined with the two-level hierarchical linear model method.
The variable with the highest correlation with reading success is student behaviors that hinder teaching. There is a negative significant relationship between student behaviors that disrupt teaching and reading success. A one-unit increase in student behaviors that disrupt teaching causes a 38.64 point decrease in reading scores (γ02= -38.639, SH=5.25, p<0.01).
The findings are the fact that social justice in education is still not achieved, what needs to be read behind the PISA results.
