Our research purpose is to (re)frame FCPA for our current global social, political, and economic moment – and ask questions about the state of FCPA considerate of Covid-19-derived public health and educational challenges, and augmented neoconservative backlash against women's, girls', and minoritized group rights (Faludi, 1991; Another Author & Author 2, 2013; Author 2, 2005). First, we locate Marshall’s work within a feminist trajectory of theorizing, activism, and scholarship. Next, we review various applications of FCPA in education, including feminist critiques of white and western analyses more generally. Finally, we propose a gendered politics of education to push current boundaries of FCPA. Aligned with the AERA call, we aim to move beyond mere conceptualization to offer mechanisms for transforming real world conditions.
