Educational equity has become a major concern in physical education. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of integrating the Stratified Teaching Model (STM) in the Sport Education Model (SEM) for equal educational outcomes regardless of students' gender and initial sport skills. A pre/post-test quasi-experimental design with a control group was conducted in a table tennis course in Beijing Normal University, China. Participants were assigned to the experimental group with SEM & STM instructions and the control group with SEM instruction according to their enrolled course numbers. Results showed that both models were fair in terms of backhand skill learning, but the fusion model allowed for a more equitable teaching effect in terms of forehand skill learning.
