Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop from the point of view of faculty members, the principles for a guiding theory to design a portal with the purpose of contributing to the professional development of teaching. We follow the principles, strategies, and methods from Grounded Theory Methodology. We conducted 32 unstructured interviews with faculty members. Among the principles pointed out from the model that emerges from the teachers' discourse, the legitimacy of sharing and socialization in favour of professional learning in teaching stands out, if conditions of trust are ensured. The content must have scientific validity, adhere to the professional reality and be re-applicable in different contexts, through adjustments and adaptations.
