An Investigation of a University Middle School Preparatory Program Through the Lens of Invitational Leadership

Abstract

This qualitative case study explored the invitational leadership principles and domains in a middle school education program at a public university in the USA. By studying this program through the invitational leadership perspective, University instructors will gain a better understanding of how to leverage fully the role of invitational leadership theory towards the improvement of creating inclusive middle school classrooms. The findings of this study illustrated the possibility of insight into the invitational leadership capacity of the Instructor and the aspiring teachers that added to both practice and scholarship.
