An Experiential Approach is a design and validation strategy that centers its efforts on user experience (UX) and what is elicited by a test (First author and Co-author, 2021; Wright & McCarty, 2010). In this paper, we will present a proof-of-concept of the design part of the Experiential approach, together with the concept of Experience Specification, presenting an example of a test developed using this approach in a Graduate Student Class About Regression Analysis. We will discuss this approach's practical limitations and advantages and the specific results of the diagnostic test built for the class.
