In this self-study, the authors describe an aesthetic turn in their critical reflective practices as teacher educators. The authors found themselves moving beyond the written form in their reflections, towards more creative means as a way to make sense of their experiences teaching during a pandemic. In doing so, they discovered a series of foundational themes emerge in their work: creativity, collectivism and care. These themes in turn altered how they began to examine, design, and instruct their students. This paper provides an analysis of pedagogical moves and course assignments as they reimagined their methods of teaching and reflection.
