Abstract

In this study, we design a Making through Micro-Manufacturing’ project in career technical education class to explore how students develop personally-defined depth and breadth of skills across the Making and production aligned disciplines. The specific purpose of this study is to examine whether the M3 project increase high school students’ computer studies self-efficacy, mathematics self-efficacy, science self-efficacy, school subject self-efficacy, and general self-efficacy. pre- and post T-test showed that M3 project enhanced students’ self-efficacy in Mathematics, science self-efficacy, and school subjects. However, there were no statistically significant changes in pre-post scores for computer studies self-efficacy and general self-efficacy.
