This research aims to shed light on the relationship between the distribution of leadership practices in the school and teacher commitment to teaching and the workplace with an emphasis on the mediating role of teachers’ administrative and teaching workload stress and well-being. Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) dataset compiled by Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2018 was employed. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) on a pooled sample and separate country sample (47 jurisdictions) was used in the analysis of the data. Results indicate that workload stress and well-being function as a mediating role in the relationship between distributed leadership and teacher commitment. These results were identical across all jurisdictions but with a few exceptions.
