Fri, May 5, 2:30 to 4:00pm CDT (2:30 to 4:00pm CDT), SIG Virtual Rooms, Learning and Teaching in Educational Leadership SIG Virtual Paper Room

Abstract

This study investigates efforts of four principal preparation program coordinators as they engaged in program redesign to emphasize equity-focused leadership preparation while also responding to changing credentialing requirements. The program coordinators were the only tenure-track educational leadership faculty at their institutions, and findings explore coordinator’s work to bridge and buffer internal and external demands while endeavoring to implement promising practices. This study offers implications for solo faculty coordinators and those leading programs in combined departments.
