Abstract

The Teacher Data Literacy survey is a measure of teachers’ beliefs and attitudes toward data literacy. The construct is divided into dimensions based on skill or action steps identified in the data literacy literature. This paper discusses the development, expert content validation, and preliminary results of the survey using item response theory. While the instrument shows promise, more items for the dimensions as well as a larger sample size will be needed for the next iteration.
