Abstract

Through a systematic review of the literature, we examined Latinx/a/o student success at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). We used the concept of HSI servingness as our conceptual framework to understand how postsecondary education scholars have approached the topic of Latinx/a/o success through an asset-based lens, namely by placing the onus on systems or systematic barriers rather than individuals or communities. Our work sought to make scholarship more accessible or available to HSI practitioners by offering implications for practice.
