Abstract

Modern schools are extremely complex organizations that require substantial leadership capacity to function effectively. The purpose of this mixed methods study was to investigate participants’ experiences working to develop course content for a new graduate certificate program in teacher leadership at a large university in the southwest United States. The participants in this study were teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators. The findings included a description of the experiences of participants working collaboratively to develop the course content and the perceptions of those experiences.
