Learning Under Pressure: Leading Educational Change Through Technology Implementation During COVID-19

Abstract

This study illuminates the ways educational leaders in one district understood and
enacted change to teaching, learning, and leading practices through the increased use of
technology during periods of remote learning due to COVID-19. Using an organizational
learning perspective and based on findings from interviews with 17 district and school level
leaders, this study offers understandings of organizational conditions that can support change
during crisis and beyond, offering recommendations for leaders as they deepen learning through
technology for all students in an unpredictable world.
