The theme, Interrogating Consequential Education Research in Pursuit of Truth is needed as educators are faced with facilitating meaningful lessons during the pandemic; the new normal. This theme grants leaders, educators, and learning advocates to question and critique concepts of leadership supporting validations of all students (Ladson-Billings, 2021). Culturally Responsive Mathematics Teaching (CRMT) increases individual student connectedness to curricula disrupting the systemic gatekeeping tracks that emerge within schools (Celedón-Pattichis et al., 2018). Leadership celebrating students’ cultures within math lessons de-emulates the dominant society’s learning patterns and promotes the development of positive student identities (Abdulrahim & Orosco, 2020; Edmin, 2020). This paper informs the thinking of leaders and teacher leaders as leadership should support and implement CRMT in K-12 learning spaces.
