On Civic Friendship

Abstract

The book has not been released yet, and as such an abstract has not yet been developed. However, as mentioned, Randall Curren has done significant work using Greek philosophy and virtue theory to understand a variety of dilemmas in education, including civic friendship and moral self-determination in schools. Curren will respond to the book’s discussion of civic trust and mistrust on campus, as well as whether civility can ever be a virtue.
