Dialogue as Data: Examining Equity

Abstract

This research, which uses voices across campus, disciplines, and educational levels, offers educators a sphere where “change” is not only a catchphrase but an action. Seeking to push the boundaries of education, curriculum, systems, knowledge, and research through dialogue and leaning on prismatic theory and DisCrit as theoretical frameworks, this study uses a layered process of action, mapping, expression, praxis, and cycles of convergence to explore equity across educational levels. The preliminary conversations around equity loosely ran across both equity themes, mapping daily practices, personal connections with equity work, and leadership. and system inequity themes, which are tied to the overall system balancing equity within the classroom or school system and preparation for future programs or the workplace.
