A Theoretical Perspective on Understanding Spirituality and Well-Being of College Students

Abstract

First-generation and low-income students have faced a myriad of challenges on university campuses. This theoretical examination of the research on spirituality and well-being highlights public universities' challenges. The resultant question is, “How can Public Universities effectively address the well-being of their students while avoiding the established link of spirituality with psychological well-being? Implications for scholars and practitioners exist.
