Abstract

This project aimed at enhancing teachers’ disposition and knowledge by engaging pre-service teachers in learning, designing and integrating the CLRT into K-8 Data Science (DS) curriculum (CLRT+DS) with the project-based learning approach. A total of 89 pre-service teachers in four math methods classes were included in this study. This project used a mixed-research design in data collection and analysis to examine the effects of the CLRT+DS on pre-service teachers’ disposition, CLRT awareness, and knowledge change. The results of data analysis on pre-service teachers’ learning show that all pre-service teachers made a progress in their productive disposition, improved specific Data Science skills at K-8 grade levels, and gained awareness of CLRT integration.
