Reflections on the Development of Teacher-Researchers in the Hybrid Spaces of Teacher Education

Abstract

This paper serves as our reflection upon the first eight-week action research course which was developed in spring 2022. This paper will summarize key themes that emerged from our reflections on this experience, which include the limits of purely technical instruction of research methods, the need to develop a more program-wide hybrid space for teacher research, and the positive potential of engaging problems of practice through research. We believe that our reflections in this paper are insightful for professors of educational research who wish to connect their expertise to the world of teacher education.
