Problematizing the achievement gap has garnered a significant amount of attention, which has contributed to the lack of focused attention on the academic achievement of Black girls. To address this void in the literature, this study aims to synthesize and interpret Black female student achievement on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) using Quantcrit as an analytical and interpretive framework and single-group summaries as a methodological exemplar. For the present study, we examined the SAT data for Black girls (N = 1,075,140). We then calculated 95% confidence intervals using the R statistical package to create the resulting charts. This study illustrates intersectionality as a framework to characterize a decade of Black girl achievement in reading, writing, and mathematics.
