Antiracist and Socially Just School Leadership Preparation and Development in Times of Educational Turmoil

Abstract

This presentation focuses on school leadership development and preparation grounded in antiracist and socially just theory and practice. Drawing on research conducted with school leaders in the Greater Toronto Area its offers areas of development and preparation necessary for school leaders to sustain an antiracist leadership agenda. Given the current climate and attacks on educators doing equity and antiracist work, school leaders must be agentive, proactive, and be prepared to pushback.
