"I Never Even Thought I Could Learn This Way": Students Theorize an Antiwar Curriculum

Abstract

This article describes a series of focus group and individual interviews with students during and after a design study, that centered student voices on political and social activism as it was presented to them through a three-week unit of instruction presenting a critical and more authentic understanding of war. The interviews center student theorizing of what an anti-war unit of instruction and curriculum should be.
