Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine if principal and superintendent attrition increased during the pandemic relative to years preceding the pandemic in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Nebraska and to identify the factors associated with principal and superintendent attrition, especially with respect to race and gender. A secondary purpose is to examine if attrition and replacement trends alter the racial and gender composition of principals and superintendents in the three states.
