Abstract

Since the expansion of colleges and universities in China, the supply of higher education entrance opportunities has continued to increase, and the diversity of family backgrounds of students in world-class universities in China has gradually become apparent. The first generation of college students as a special group of students has received increasing attention. world-class universities in China not only need to recruit these students but also cultivate them well. This study uses the 2019 CCSS data to evaluate world-class universities in China. We conduct a comprehensive analysis of the differences in growth and gains satisfaction between urban and rural first generation college students and non-first-generation college students. To provide a new perspective for the promotion of higher education process equity.
