Abstract

My work uses diverse methodological perspectives (ethnography, and data science) along with Critical Theoretical Perspectives (CRT, LatCrit, Intersectionality, Queer of Color Critique) and organizational behavior theories to shift forward theoretical perspectives in the study of wellness and trauma within labor and institutions of higher education with a focus on Latinx populations that identify as Trans*. There is a deep connection between labor, marginality, discrimination, perceived competence, and trauma within education spaces and as our institutions of higher education continue to diversify how do we ensure that Trans* Latinx persons can safely navigate the work environments that may come for them after higher education?
