"We Are All Designers": Fostering Creative Self-Efficacy in a Virtual Human-Centered Design Course

Abstract

This qualitative case study examined the instructional approaches that facilitated students’ development of creative self-efficacy in a virtual course where they worked in groups to complete a project using Human-Centered Design (HCD). Findings provided insights to instructional principles that can be used to create a supportive environment for developing resilient and active learning mindsets, which in turn can positively impact students’ creative self-efficacy in virtual courses that include HCD projects.
