The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship between student learning experiences (perceived college environment, professor-student interaction, active class participation, and integration of experience) and learning outcomes for students in the natural sciences and engineering (NS&E) programs. We used data from 1,074 participants from Korea Educational Longitudinal Study (KELS) 2005. The college environment directly affected students’ active class participation, interaction with professors, and improved learning outcomes. Student-faculty interaction and integration of experiences also directly improved learning outcomes. There were indirect effects of the college environment, active class participation, and student-faculty interaction on learning outcomes. Practical suggestions and academic implications are provided.
