The UTSA P20 Pathways Program mentoring system’s goal is to broaden and diversify participation by supporting a new generation of undergraduate fellows in a Hispanic-Serving Institution on their pathway becoming scholars in educational research. This study focuses on identifying critical factors that have expanded fellow’s educational and professional opportunities towards graduate study. We conducted an online end-of-program survey where fellows self-reported on criteria addressing our Mentoring Framework development areas: Socio-emotional, cognitive and identity as related to the UTSA P20 Pathways Mentoring Network. Results indicate the strongest support is from faculty and academic mentors distributed in all participating institutions involved in the program. Family & friends provided an important support, but not as strong as the distributed faculty and academic mentors.
