This meta-analytic study investigates construct validity evidence of the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT), one of the most used standardized tests to identify giftedness, comparing CogAT's correlation with similar instruments. A total of 11 studies with 30 effect sizes were included in the meta-analysis. The average effect size was .37 with a 95% confidence interval [.28, .45]. However, significant variation due to the systematic differences between-study exists among the included correlations, Q(29) = 3545.89, p < .01, τ² = .04, I² = 98.16. Moderator analyses revealed that neither of the two CogAT versions nor Lohman's authorship influenced effect size differences among studies, indicating no publication bias exists in the studies in terms of CogAT version and Lohman's authorship.
