International Scope of Creativity Assessment in Education

Abstract

A targeted literature review on the assessment of creativity in education was undertaken to analyze how the international (non-U.S.) community has measured creativity in light of its increased focus within education. Journals on creativity in the fields of psychology, assessment, and education, along with journals from targeted creativity domains were reviewed from January 2010-May 2021. The review included articles from more than 40 countries. Trends from these countries included the predominant use of a small selection of assessments, a focus on general creativity, and the use of higher education samples. Implications of these trends are discussed and impact analyzed.
