In this scholarly narrative, the authors problematize the symbiotic relationship between racial battle fatigue and White privilege. The objective is to make visible the invisible BIPOC labor performed outside of the purview of professional roles when working on collaborative projects with White peers in an effort to dismantle White supremacy. Critical Race Theory serves as the framework for this narrative as it interrogates the intersection of racism and work responsibilities as it manifests into racial battle fatigue and disillusionment with academia. The power of testimonios and counter-storytelling are highlighted as the authors develop Chisme as Praxis to mitigate their experiences with racial battle fatigue and White obliviousness in an effort to find ways to thrive in historically White institutions.
