Time management self-reported questionnaires (SRQ) have often examined the construct in a manner that either neglects its multidimensional nature or are only weakly attached to a grounding theoretical framework. The purpose of this paper was to assess the internal structure and construct validity of the Time Management Regulation scale (TMR), a novel SRQ meant to address these gaps by using self-regulated learning (SRL) as a guiding framework. Analyses utilizing the data of 419 undergraduate students suggested favorable psychometric properties and that the scale follows a three-factor structure, though only two factors consisting of planning and regulation could be interpreted. Potential refinements to the TMR alongside its contributions to the literature on time management and SRL are discussed.
